Is it for you?

This is for you if…

  • You're over 60 and you travel alone, or you dream of it, and part of you asks: am I making a mistake?
  • Backing the trailer into a site with no one to guide you still makes your hands shake.
  • You worry the money won't stretch, month after month, on a pension.
  • Some nights at a campground you don't feel quite safe, and you're not sure when to leave.
  • Your small home on wheels gets cluttered, and things go missing just when you need them.

It's not for you if you want one big trick that skips the routine. My way is small rules, kept a little every day. That is why it still works when you're on your own.

Keiko Arai

Meet the author

Hello, I'm Keiko

I was born in Kanazawa, Japan. For thirty-one years I was a flight attendant: I checked the doors before every departure, kept a whole galley in a space smaller than your closet, and slept alone in cities where I could not read the street signs.

At fifty-eight I lost my husband. At fifty-nine I sold our house, kept his truck and bought a small travel trailer. The first time I backed into a campsite, three men came out to "help" and I wanted to disappear.

Seven years and forty-six states later, I still travel alone, and I love it. I was not brave. I had a system: small rules, the same every day, so fear had less room to grow. These three books are that system, for women, and men, over 60 who travel alone or dream of it.

See you down the road. — Keiko

Questions

Before you
decide

Where should I start?

With the complete set. Vol. III is the whole system for living alone on the road, and it points you to Vol. I for hitching, driving and backing in, and to Vol. II for money, right when you need them.

I'm a woman traveling alone. Is a trailer or a motorhome better for me?

Both can work. I tow a small travel trailer, so the drawings show a towable. Wherever something changes for a motorhome, there's a "Towable or motorhome?" box, and each book puts it all in one place at the back.

Shouldn't I always have someone guide me back?

A good helper is a gift, and Vol. I shows you where they should stand and the signals to agree on. But you'll often be alone. Vol. I teaches you to back in without one: hand at the bottom of the wheel, small corrections early, and getting out to look as often as you need.

Will it tell me how much I'll spend?

No, and that's on purpose. I don't put my numbers in your book. Vol. II gives you a small notebook, four columns and pages for your own numbers. It's a method and good habits, not financial advice.

My knees and back aren't what they were. Can I still do this?

Yes. Every chapter has an "Easier on your back, knees and hands" box: the right heights, tools that save strength, sitting down, and asking for help without shame. For anything medical, talk to your doctor.

What exactly do I get?

The complete collection gives you all three volumes for $97. Vol. I and Vol. II are also sold on their own ($27 and $47); Vol. III only comes in the complete collection.

How do I receive it?

Right after payment you get your access link, on screen and by email. It's yours to keep, and there's nothing to wait for.

Can I read it on a tablet or computer? Can I print it?

Yes. It opens on any phone, tablet or computer. You can zoom the text as large as you like, or print the pages and cards at home and pin them up inside a cupboard door.

Is the payment secure?

Yes. You'll pay on a secure checkout page run by Payhip, a platform used by thousands of independent authors. Pay by card or PayPal. It's a one-time payment: no subscription.

What if it's not for me?

You're covered by a 7-day money-back guarantee. Ask for a refund within 7 days and you get every cent back. Just write to business@keikorv.com.
